PAUL's Story

I went to Kokoda with the first group from St Joesphs College Geelong in 2013. I went, not only with my son, but also my father, so 3 generations. The trek was great to share with my family, but to share it with the other 30 boys, parents, teachers, Kokoda Tours staff and of course the amazing porters was unforgettable. The knowledge we gained during the training and by walking in the footsteps of our heroes was both emotional and exhilarating. This is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and to see where our heroes fought and fell, understand the battles and terrain is something I will never forget. If you are a proud Australian, or you are interested in our history, this tour is a must. Brilliantly organised for our large group, everybody made it to Owers Corner safe and significantly better for the experience. Nearly 4 years have passed since we completed the Kokoda Track, and i look back with fond memories.
